The Marker Social

In this modern day and age where instant information can never come quick enough, trends pass like the wind and social media is considered social interaction, tradition and legacies are a welcome change.

No, I'm not talking about the Jets.

I am of course talking about the much-anticipated Marker Social, the first major fundraiser for The Creative Communications Media Awards. I have deviated from my weekly Friday post to update my readers/friends on the event, as it is happening this Friday at Marquee Lounge (formerly Dylan's on Pembina).

The Marker Social is essentially a rite of passage for the first-years into the inner social workings of the second year Creative Communication students. Known sometimes as the CreComm Mafia, the Marker Social is a meeting of all the families. (Just joking). It is, a great time to let loose and revel in all you have learned in a mere six weeks since the beginning of school, and a mid-semester celebration where you let your creativity roar, and literally get to draw on your classmates. Some call it fun, I call it therapy.

So if you are a CreComm student (or not!), tickets are available at The Mercantile at the Exchange District Campus of RRC.

Here is a link to the Facebook event, markers included!

Have a great short week everyone!!
